Floral Medicine meets Soul Portrait Medicine - introducing a 7 day e-course "Seeds of Love"17/2/2014 Have you wondered how flower remedies can help to support your emotions and feelings? Dr Bach's Rescue Remedy [now known as emergency essence] is a tincture that I was first given 25 years ago. It contains the essences of 5 flowers to help with shock, fright, fear, anxiety and sudden emergencies. I was first introduced to Bach Rescue Remedy and Dr Bach flower essences way back in the early 90s when I was on my healing journey back to health from M.E. [myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome.] This turned into a long healing story of many different approaches - flower essences played a small part in that journey. Life was seriously crap. I was 20, living at home again [having moved out when I was 18 to start work in another city], very ill, debilitated, not well enough to work and trying the heck to heal. By the time I was 21, I decided to venture down the complementary health route because western medicine just didn't have anything to offer me. Nothing. Except anti depressants and I just didn't want to confuse things back then. The year was BG [before Google] so all my research and investigation was done via the library, word of mouth, referrals and the yellow pages. I was introduced to Gentian, Larch, Olive, Sweet Chestnut and Wild Oat, five flower remedies that could help me with the feelings around some of my symptoms. Each flower essence helping me with the way I was feeling. I had been ill for about 2 years when I started to use them, things were still quite chronic. Amongst all the practices I was doing, I needed something else to help with how I was feeling. I was trying to cope with getting well, and dealing with all the difficulties that come with chronic dis-ability. Gentian - discouragement after a setback Larch - lack of confidence Olive - exhaustion following mental or physical effort Sweet chestnut - extreme mental anguish, when everything has been tried and there is no light left Wild Oat - uncertainty over one's direction in life I had a plethora of symptoms and these really connected me to my feelings. My extreme respect for this way of healing began back then and continues to this very day. So when Eithne Egan of True Essence Coaching contacted me about illustrating her 7 day e-course called Seeds of Love, I just couldn't refuse. She asked me to illustrate each day with a Soul Portrait Muse, inspired by the flower she will be choosing for healing on that day. As Eithne writes "Flowers can give us just what we need, if we tune into their energy and essence" Meet Eithne Seeds of Love is a free seven-day exploration of the healing power of flower essences, illustrated. Part floral medicine, part healing art. With some great information and uplifting affirmations thrown in for good measure. It runs March 12 through March 20 (we'll break on the weekend). We'll end on the Equinox, just in time for Spring. Yay! Did you just read that? Spring! I am really so excited to be part of this because I know that if this were available back in 1992 when I was seeking information, guidance, support about flower remedies and in a very clearcut way I could receive information straight to my email, along with a healing illustration, then hell yeah, I'd be first on the list!! We would love for you to be there and if you reap one blossom of insight, then both myself and Eithne will be delighted. You can sign up here If you have any questions about the course, please do ask away, you can email me or Eithne. Really looking forward to doing this for you.
