This week I have celebrated my birthday - it was a lovely day - and it has been also a fab week. My hubby bought me a bike, who I have called Beatrix. Been out on her for a bit already, but more to come with me and Bea. Luna and I went for a walk together first thing, which was such fun - (hubby had to go fix the flat tyre!!) Here's our Birthday Selfie. I was treated to a night in a hotel in our own Liverpool City just by the waterfront, the sun was shining (thanks for the birthday in July, it always helps). We drank wine, ate some lovely food and just generally had a great time. Of course our furkids were well looked after at home by our step-daughter JJ so that was one thing less to worry about but wow, did we get a welcome home! Having this time off really made a difference. Why do I wait till Birthdays?!?

You remember Morph? He was the cute little guy who appeared with Tony Hart in Take Hart, one of my all time favourite art programmes in the 70s as I was growing up. Well in Hobbycraft, our fab team leader Stacey created Morph out of plaster of paris, spray paint, felt eyes. Soon this little dude was becoming real and I just had to have my photo take with him. It was my little dream come true. I'm working my little tush off getting my Muse Mantra Deck of Cards ready for their final print run - you can pre-order them here form my Etsy Shop. Pre-ordering really helps me to get a good print run instead of dribs and drabs. Sign up below for my Museletter to be kept updated about their progress - it's free. It makes my heart sing when I get a commission. Yes can you hear it ...... La la La La La!!! This one even more delightful because it was from my beautiful cousin Gail, from Australia. Believe it, but this is the second time I have created this commission - the first one was shipped back in April - mounted and framed, only to arrive broken and in bits. We were both soooooooooooo upset by it. But hey ho, we brush ourselves off don't we and get back on the donkey!! Luckily, I had my original sketches so I started all over again - this time we were in luck because we managed to meet up with Gail's mum who was visiting family in Manchester and it was taken by hand all the way to Australia. only this time it wasn't framed! I love creating unique commissions of you and your family, including your fur family, of course. Visit my Etsy Shop if you're interested in placing and order. I also would love to chat to you about any grand scale illustration projects you may have up your sleeve! Want to be kept updated of all the goings-on in my studio? - you can sign up here for my Museletter - (it's free). I write to you twice a month. It's Friday 4th July and what a great day to be able to share with you my Muse Mantra Deck. They're coming together nicely as I have received the prototype from the printers, I am now working through how happy I am with them and there are a few nips and tucks to the final set. I was debating with people on Facebook whether to go for box or a calico drawstring bag.... and listening to them, I realise that we all love a good box don't we?!! So box it is!!! I will now work with a graphic designer to get the tuck box ready. In the meantime this beautiful deck are ready to pre-order from my Etsy shop, you will be supporting me getting a print run that I can be proud of - it makes more sense than ordering in dribs and drabs. Let me tell you about them: There are 60 Muse Mantra Cards, 2.5 inches x 3.5 inches and 80% of them feature a woman who I have drawn from around the world - some have chosen their mantra whilst others, I have chosen, if they didn't decide. On top of these 60, I have also included 4 extra cards 1) hello sweet love 2) how to use them 3) how to care for them and 4) a 5 card spread that you can use in a reading. I know you're going to love them. I have already started to use them in my own daily practice. 60 spirit-lifting healing mantra cards to calm your mind and soothe your soul. They're retailing at £14.50 plus p+p. Please do pre-order - this is definitely happening. Visit my Etsy Shop Here to place your order - I'm hoping these will be ready to ship by September. If you'd like to be kept in the loop about them why not sign up to receive my Museletter? It's free. |
